On Fridays, about a 3 minute drive from our house in Capitol Hill, you’ll find the Madrona Farmer’s Market doing a roaring trade between 3-7pm.
Located in the car park of Grocery Outlet, you’re spoiled for choice as you meander the stalls getting tempted at every turn by produce of every shape and colour.
Three rows of gazebos show off fruit, veg, wine, bread, cakes, meat, flowers and more.
$8 Mushrooms
OK, so some of the items might seem a bit pricey – I got into trouble for buying a $10 cauliflower – but you are contributing to the local economy, and it’s all top notch nosh!
It’s a fantastic source for Saturday morning breakfast if you buy some…..
……super-fresh king white salmon and……
…….some fresh bagels from this guy!
Thanks to “earth mother sister-in-law” Colleen and the “too cute for words” Julia for the tip!
The market will run until the end of September and they also have a Facebook page where you can keep up with all the latest blog posts and photos which is just the cherry on top of a Seattle staple!
