Following on from yesterday’s Microsoft Office 2007 bargain, I’ve been alerted to this DreamSpark Promotion offering loads of free software to students.
So roll up and download:
Not bad for a Thursday morning eh?!
Back in April I alerted readers to this fabulous offer of Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate for students and university staff at the knock-down price of £38.95.
Well I’m pleased to say it’s back!
So tell all your friends to check out the site here:
I tore my hamstring yesterday while playing cricket!
Turning to make another run and I slipped on the wet wicket. As I got up and pushed off my right foot, my hamstring went pop and a bolt of pain went up leg.
Somehow I manage to hobble the next 15 yards but in agony, collapsing in a heap but thankfully not run out!
I “retired hurt” and had to be carried off the pitch 🙁
Anyway, not having clue what I should do I checked out HealthVault
It’s got a load of cool features and is badged as “putting you in control of your health information.”
But I just like it for looking up stuff, finding out what a condition or disease is and what kind of treatment you can expect.
Needless to say I’ll be on the phisio’s table in the morning! 🙂
Hot on the heels of PhotoSynth – more on that in a later post – comes AutoCollage from Microsoft Research!
Download the software and point the application to a folder of photos and it auto-generates a collage which you save, email or make your desktop!
The above concoction saves me terrorising you with a picture a week of me and Dixon on our travels around the search world!
Well worth £19.99!

Fun stuff from http://webmaster.live.com
Here’s a great video interview by WebProNews with Nathan Buggia from Live Search’s Webmaster Tools.
Nathan, Jeremiah and the lads presented at SES San Jose on the latest release of their suite of gizmos to help webmasters figure out what is and what is not getting indexed by Live Search.
The session was a bit sparsley populated with delegates. 🙁
Ironic seeing as how many people tell us they want us to get better and be a driving force in search! 🙂
So if you missed it you can check out the presentation on the Live Webmaster Blog.
The Microsoft campus in Redmond is pretty green.
Toyota Prius ferry you around from building to building and the cafe has bio-degradable cutlery as well as multiple receptacles for re-cycling bottles, cans, food etc.
Today I spotted this sign as I queued for my “iced black americano no whip!”.
They’re now giving away the used coffee grounds from the thousands of cups the make everyday to the green-fingered amongst us.
Wonder if I’ll get ’em through UK customs!
